Overplay is an AI-enabled platform that allows anyone to take videos from their smartphone and turn them into sharable games. Backed by Mark Cuban, among dozens of other well-known investors, Overplay made waves on a “Shark Tank” episode that boasted 4.1M viewers. After this successful airing, Overplay's executive team requested that I create a bold strategy to boost the visibility of the product and promote the founders as thought leaders who are driving the future of user-generated gaming.
My first step was to collaborate across executive, legal, and engineering to deeply understand the technology so I could properly position this first-of-its-kind app.
Then, combining proven messaging frameworks from companies in similar spaces, I spearheaded partnerships with crowdfunding platforms like WeFunder to spark viral growth. From there, I focused on giving app's founders a strategic visibility push across key channels.
I secured media coverage for them in major publications, I created blog posts and mass email updates for them, I booked podcast interviews, and I scheduled conference presentations at renowned tech events including SXSW and New York Tech Week.

Overplay's rise as one of the hottest new social platforms continues, with over $3.5M raised on WeFunder and a major sponsorship deal signed with NASCAR for 2025. With growth outpacing all projections, the Overplay community can look forward to an even more engaging, empowering, and exciting user experience in the year ahead thanks to creative product placement and meaningful executive exposure.
